Good News Report | It IS out there!
Welcome to my very next Good News Report.
While 2020 will undoubtedly be remembered for many things, ok ONE thing in particular. I feel that it is my job to remind ALL of some of the others things taking place at this time. Those things we don't tend to hear much about on the news - The GOOD things! The Good news that is taking place around the world.
News to inspire us, and remind us, it's not ALL bad. In fact there is probably just as much good, if not more good news than bad taking place out there. So, allow me to shine a light on the good that has been taking place out there.

Jelly Belly Founder, is Hosting a Treasure Hunt where the winner will win his/ her very own Candy Factory.
If you are a fan of the Roahl Dahl novel, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, this might sound familiar. That's because it is, Jelly Belly founder, David Klein, has decided to a LAUNCH GOLD TICKET TREASURE HUNT, just like willy wonka, and just like Willy Wonka, guess what you win? If it wasn't clear in the title - Your very OWN CANDY FACTORY. You cannot tell me that is not good news.
David and his partner, have started going across the USA hiding golden style tickets in the form of necklaces in places they come across with an interesting story, as noted by a press release from their company. “Plans are to have multiple treasure hunts for these gold tickets in each state.”
Next in the Good news this month....... The title alone should make you feel those warm and fuzzies filling you with a feeling of goodness.
Hungarian Scientist Wins €1 Million Prize For Groundbreaking Research That Could Eventually Restore Sight in Blindness
While they're not saying we have restored sight in blindness, what they are saying is we are super close. The afore mentioned scientist, Botond Roska’s revolutionary gene-editing treatment could cure a type of blindness that affects around one in 4,000 children. That's alot of kids, when you do the math, and I did the math. If we count all children younger than age 14, they would make up more than 25 percent of the worlds population. That's almost 1.8 billion children out of almost 7 billion people. That comes to about, if my maths is right - 450 000 children that are effected with this type of blindness who could see once again, because of this revolutionary gene editing treatment. (Note - My maths is not the best, but I am 99% sure my Maths is correct)
In my final bit of good news this month once again, I will simply repeat the headline, which all by itself, should give you a good idea, of what a wonderful story this. It's almost illegal that the main stream media focuses solely on the negative. Here we go.....
New York Turned the World’s Largest Garbage Dump into a Green Oasis of Native Grasses That Also Powers Homes.
After New York closed down one of the world's largest landfills, officials and non profits spent decades turning this dump into green outdoor space. That is not only just a beautiful huge public park, but also using landfill fumes to methane-power homes. This is pretty damn awesome.
You can actually follow the park on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/freshkillspark/
Check out and follow their Instagram page, for a constant reminder of what we can do when we put some effort and energy into doing good. Check out the countless sustainable projects and amazing, green vegetation and magical beauty that now exists, where before was only rubbish and devastation.
